Rod Emery and Chris Lake Present Advanced Engineering Projects

Thanks to Siemens and Electro-Matic for hosting us at the Manufacturing in America conference!  It was a great opportunity to highlight U.S. innovation in manufacturing.  We showcased our powertrain test stands and turn-key assembly lines, with many people stopping by the booth to ask “What’s a Battery-free AGV?”

The Invisible Assembly Line

Rod Emery, VP Assembly Systems, hosted a seminar on “The Invisible Assembly Line:  Battery-free AGVs with IPT®”.  Rod compared and contrasted traditional chain-based conveyance with a technology that is relatively new to the U.S. —  inductively powered AGV assembly lines.  Because they provide 360 degree access, flexible modes of operation and are 90% unattached to the building, they create a virtually invisible assembly line.  RedViking designs and builds Battery-free AGVs with and without custom fixtures and lifts.  To learn more, email Rod at remery@redviking.com and check out this page:  https://www.redviking.com/search/battery-free-agvs—material-handling—assembly-lines_ae89.html

Automotive Powertrain Testing Impacts Military Helicopters

Chris Lake, VP Engineering, presented a seminar on “How Automotive Powertrain Testing is changing the World of Military Helicopters”.  He discussed how lessons learned in automotive testing have enabled us to create a family of leading edge dynamic test systems for the U.S. Army’s largest helicopter repair and maintenance center.  In a time of declining defense budgets we are really proud to help protect the safety of U.S. troops while also saving taxpayer dollars.  To learn more about this project, email Chris at clake@redviking.com and check out this page: https://www.redviking.com/what-we-do/dynamic-test-systems/dynamic-component-test-systems.html  It is exciting to see U.S. manufacturing growing, and it was great to see so many organizations looking for new ways to improve productivity and efficiency.  Thanks again, Electro-Matic and Siemens, for making this event so worthwhile.
