Responsibilities:

  • Identify vital customer data and specs, analyze project requirements to gain a thorough understanding of project needs
  • Develop meticulous cost estimates, incorporating materials, labor, and other resources

Requirements

We seek a candidate with 5+ years of experience with general accounting tasks, including bank reconciliation, use tax filing, balance sheet reconciliation, and journal entries. We are interested in an individual who possesses a strong passion for leveraging new technology to drive efficiency and accuracy. 


DESCRIPTION: 

  • Independently manage prepaid expenses, asset/depreciation schedules, and labor analysis
  • Perform account reconciliations, prepare month-end journal entries, and conduct income statement allocations to ensure precise financial reporting and analysis 
  • Be involved in our team's exploration of new systems to optimize our current operational ERP process 
  • Support RedViking strategic planning and process improvement initiatives in Accounting 
  • Assist with AP/AR and project cost accounting and analysis


Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field 
  • Minimum 5 years of general accounting experience (either private, public, or a combination) 
  • An excellent understanding of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) 
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, as well as intermediate skills in MS Excel 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills 
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, effectively prioritize tasks and manage time
