Our Operational Intelligence team provides the latest in Smart Manufacturing and System Integration to ensure our customers’ operations are up to date with the latest technology. We take their toughest plant floor challenges and using the latest technology, we put data to work to help them be more productive and sustainable.
You will be part of a team of talented engineers working on Factory System Integration projects and the latest in IIoT, Digital Solutions, Automated Manufacturing, Real-Time Data, and Digital Factory. Travel varies by the project, it can be door-to-door, nationwide, or international. Duration is worked out mutually with your input and the opportunity given to travel home regularly. Additional pay, premium perks, and other benefits are provided to offset any extensive travel. Upcoming projects include the possibility of travel to neighboring states as well as Mexico, Canada, S. Africa, and Thailand among others. Multiple roles, relocation provided.
As Project Engineer, you will:
- Be involved in all elements from concept to launch and front-facing with our customers to help them meet their manufacturing and automation goals
- Design, develop, test, and implement MES and other solutions to configure, control and monitor the manufacturing process
- Troubleshoot and construct PLC programs from scratch
- Integrate FIS, IIOT, Error Proofing; Visual Control; Andon, Track & Trace and Operation Process in a plant environment
- Integrate PLC’s, Operator Stations, DC torque tools, Bar Code Scanner, Pick-to-Light Systems, and other tools into the manufacturing process
- Participate in team/customer meetings to identify requirements, specifications, timelines, and customer expectations
Required Skills & Experience:
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Several years of experience programming Rockwell or Siemens PLC’s required
- Hardware design such as panel layout or industrial controls preferred
- Experience working in an automotive plant or automotive manufacturing environment
- Communication network experience, SCADA a plus
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Able to travel frequently, domestic and international based on project needs
- Willingness to work above and beyond to meet company and customer goals
