Pack out is the Argonaut app that identifies, verifies and tracks completed assemblies and products. It’s a great entry point for real-time manufacturing data since it impacts so many parts of the organization. Instead of relying on PCs to gather and back up PLC data, Pack Out uses Argonaut’s simple, reliable hardware and software solution for automatic scheduled and condition-based data collection and backup. You’ll get real-time completion data driven to a user-friendly dashboard. You’ll know what’s been finished and when, and you can track pack out rates for a single operation or for your entire enterprise.
Once Pack Out is configured for your first operation, replicating and scaling is simple. As with all Argonaut apps, Pack Out is controlled and updated from a central location with remote deployment anywhere in your enterprise.
Acts Independently or With Other Argonaut Apps
You don’t need a traceability app to run Pack Out. If you don’t need to integrate into the PLC, Pack Out still gives you a way to scan subassemblies into completed assemblies and view corporate-level data and reports. Pack Out replaces spreadsheet or paper completion tracking with reports configured for everyone from the line supervisor to the CEO.
Your Pack Out Process is a Goldmine of IIoT Data
If you need it to, Pack Out can be part of a larger traceability and IIoT solution. It’s a great fit for IIoT because it creates such a wealth of data. Completion rates can set the speed of the upstream line and help shipping decide which trucks to use. Purchasing can use the same data to evaluate their reorder rates and part pickers can better plan bin refills.
The Argonaut IIoT Gateway app uses the same simple hardware used by Pack Out, so when you’re ready you can quickly add full IIoT functionality to broadcast this valuable data to subscribers for analysis. The Traceability app is also built on the Argonaut platform, so you can control and update it from one central location and deploy it anywhere in your enterprise.
