26 Weeks to Increase Military Vehicle Production by 400%
Successful Military Vehicle Protects Troops from IEDs
A military vehicle manufacturer had a successful US DoD Dx program with demand far exceeding their assembly capacity, much of which had been outsourced. Their vehicle had proven itself to be extremely successful at protecting U.S. troops from IED’s, and production needed to increase exponentially in less than a year.
The outsourced assembly line was designed for limited production with less automation, less information and less physical capacity, and was not up to the task. The assembly process needed to be brought in-house in order to improve quality and increase capacity.
Turnkey Assembly Line Design and Implementation
Working closely with the customer and their existing assembly provider, RedViking brought together a team of designers, engineers, builders and project managers for every aspect of the new line. We analyzed the existing assembly process, designed a new process, then designed and built the complete manufacturing solution. Within months, we had converted an empty warehouse to a highly automated, highly intelligent line with improved capacity, throughput and quality.
Automated Assembly System Improves Quality
The new military vehicle assembly line increased production capacity by 400% with better vehicle quality than ever before. RedViking is proud to have led a project that protected the lives of U.S. Troops.
