Looking to escape a boring desk job and apply your electrical knowledge?

Ready to work alongside electrical engineers and skilled trades who will help cross-train?

Your typical day:  You will work onsite with our customer who is a global automotive leader.  You will support production critical solutions for manufacturing networking and installation projects.  In this role, you will provide control systems support, monitoring and maintaining PLC devices and systems to ensure functionality as well as testing connections between PLC devices and other equipment.  You will be front-facing with our customers to ensure continual operations.  Additional responsibilities that support our installation projects will be assigned as needed.

What we are looking for:

  • High School or equivalent, technical or vocational electrical certification or degree preferred
  • Plant floor or manufacturing experience preferred
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, ideally PLC’s, electrical design and programming
  • Good communication skills and a team player to collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and our customers
  • Willingness to work above and beyond to meet company goals
  • Must be organized, self-directed and able to multi-task with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work a varying shift schedule on occasion
  • What I like most about working at RedViking are the problem solving solutions we develop for our customers. It goes beyond selling a product. It’s forming a collaborative partnership with our customers that enables them to be successful and keeps them coming back to RedViking with new challenges for us to help them solve. - Jeff DeClue - Sales Manager of Dynamic Test Systems
  • First of all, it’s the people. Some of the smartest engineers I have ever worked with are here. But more than that, we all are trying to do our best and be better every day. Everyone is working to improve themselves and the company and that creates a synergy of improvement that you just don't see most places.

Second, I truly feel empowered and supported by management. They are always striving to create an environment where the staff can learn and grow. They are always looking to do what they can to make this a welcoming, friendly, inclusive, supportive environment for professional and personal growth.

And last but not least, it’s the work! I love being a part of creating the next generation of machinery. From AGVs to robots we do some very cool stuff and that makes coming to work fun. One day you’re assembling aircraft engines and the next day you’re working on an AGV that carries a garbage truck. If you think that’s cool, then you understand why I love being a Viking!!
