Planning Your Connected M2M Automation Strategy for the Factor Floor
On Thursday at 11:10 in Utopia Ballroom C, Rod Emery, our VP of Assembly Systems, will present a customer case study at ATX. He'll talk about how one large manufacturer planned and executed a connected automation strategy for a reconfigured assembly line. Their organization effectively translated high level management objectives into practical implementation, but not without challenges. It's an interesting story for anyone who's in the process of evaluating their line for productivity and quality improvements.
What's a Battery-free AGV?
This year at ATX we'll be in Booth 215 showing off Wingspan™ Battery-free AGV assembly lines. One of our inductively powered AGVs is mounted in the booth, so come by and take a look under the hood. We'll also be ready to talk about our highly engineered dynamic test systems, custom quality and measurement machines, turn-key assembly lines and manufacturing execution systems (MES). We're doing some interesting work with multi-model test and inspection systems, mobile iOS-based factory apps, and machines designed with flexible ergonomics. In addition, we're helping our customers meet their sustainability goals with assembly and test systems that are environmentally sound.
